We are very proud of the foundation bitches for the Collective. They each possess incredibly impressive pedigrees full of titled famous working bitches; and they have each, in their turn, produced very nice litters for us. You will notice from the list below that all our foundation bitches are the daughters of German Working Dobermann Kennel Weyermühle dams. All were bred by Lisa Poppelvig.
The health of every one of our foundation bitches has been excellent. There has been no hip dysplasia and no thyroid issues, and those that have already passed on did not do so due to cardiomyopathy. They also have all lived to beyond 10 years of age, and all continued working beyond their 8th birthday. Although we feel this helps stack the deck in favor of continued good health in our lines, there are no guarantees; however, this is about the best any breeder can do given the fact that at present we do not have any predictive genetic tests for some diseases that are all too common in dobermanns.
The foundation bitches for the Working Dobermann Collective are:
Anja Germania (Alfred v.d. Urftquelle x Qastra v.d. Weyermühle) -- SchH 1 -- died three months short of 11th birthday Brixi Germania (Arrex Germania x Snoopy v.d. Weyermühle) -- SchH 2 -- died two months short of 12th birthday Ascomannis Freya (Alex vom Bachtal x Snoopy v.d. Weyermühle) -- VPG 2 -- died at 10 1/2 Ascomannis Gabi (Bronco v.d. Doberwache x Qastra v.d. Weyermühle) -- turned 11 in March, 2013 and is still going strong Ascomannis Hella (Bronco v.d. Doberwache x Snoopy v.d. Weyermühle) -- VPG 3 -- turned 11 in March, 2013 and is still going strong
Many thanks to Lisa Poppelvig of Ascomannis Working Dobermann Kennel in Denmark. Without her hard work and passion for the breed, we would not have had these incredible bitches.
